We offer substance use recovery services throughout Northwestern Virginia. Our programs are available at no charge for eligible participants struggling with substance use challenges. Flexible options and peer support from a team with similar lived experiences form the foundation of our supportive services. When you work with Strength In Peers, you can expect:

  • Peer support throughout your recovery journey.
  • Education about recovery options and available services.
  • Assistance navigating housing, employment, healthcare, and other community resources.
  • Assistance applying for Medicaid, public benefits and jobs.
  • Access to clinical behavioral health treatment services through one of our partners.

Back On Track Recovery For Homeless:

Our Back on Track Recovery Program helps individuals who self-identify as having a substance use challenge and who are homeless or living “doubled up” with others on a temporary basis get the support they need to pursue the recovery path that works for them.

Youth Mentoring:

We offer in-school youth mentoring for students attending Stonewall Jackson High School, North Fork Middle School, and Ashby Lee Elementary School in southern Shenandoah County. Our experienced and trained mentors discuss topics such as anxiety, grief, sadness, anger, and drug use.
