Free Healthcare For Children In Shenandoah County.

Our Healthy & Resilient Children Project is a grant-funded initiative that is helping the Shenandoah Community Health Clinic develop a new clinic in Ashby Lee Elementary School. The new Shenandoah South Wellness Center provides primary care, dental and counseling services to children and families in southern Shenandoah County. We have helped the clinic purchase dental equipment and medical supplies, and we continue to support the cost of their personnel while they develop the capacity to bill Medicaid and other insurance plans. We believe compassionate care for our community is imperative for each child to succeed and thrive.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Family’s income meets 200% of the Federal Poverty Level
  • Residency in Shenandoah County
  • Services are provided on a sliding scale based on income.

Greater Resiliency Through Early Intervention.

Access to regular health care early in life is critical to helping the youngest in our community grow and thrive into adulthood. Medical, dental, and counseling services protect the physical and mental health of our children and have been proven to lead to better educational outcomes.

Critical Support For Area Families.

Since being awarded a grant for the Healthy & Resilient Children Project in 2017, we’ve been able to support hundreds of children in our community. Students in southern Shenandoah County schools can work one-on-one with a mentor, receive professional counseling services, or obtain needed primary and dental care.
